I have found my attendance at the Physics Factory extremely useful. I have accompanied a top set year 11 to the factory all year. They have two hour lessons where they cover key learning objectives from the AQA specification.
The factory has given me ideas to be used with all classes and shown me the best ways to explain and demonstrate different physical concepts. I have also found the teaching of unit P3 especially useful as I did not study this myself or complete a Physics A level. Therefore the content is new to me and I am learning with the pupils. It is also allowing me to see how these difficult concepts can be made pupil friendly just as with the P2 content delivered earlier in the year.
I have enjoyed and benefited from thesesessions so much that I have volunteered to accompany the new year 11 class and will be trained as the departments Physicist. I will be involved in observing lessons and attend more training to further improve my subject knowledge.
